1891 Carcano Rifle Full Beech stock strip and Pure Tung oil application instead of linseed, 80/20 Dark pure. Sealed with Polyurethane instead of varnish.

Step by step with the finished pre buffed and fully cured result. No stain needed/used.

Carcano Factory method:
*As a rule, the stocks were preserved from moisture by being treated with hot linseed oil and stained dark brown. Some of the later beech stocks, that replaced the missing walnut from 1916 on, were not stained and remained rather light in color.
